Rajah & Tann's Competition & Antitrust, and Trade Team was the winner in the "Behavioural Matter of the Year – Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa" category in the recently concluded Global Competition Review ("GCR") Awards 2013 held in Washington, DC. The category win is an achievement for the Rajah & Tann Team as it went up against several other deals from across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Specifically, the win was for the Team's work in relation to acting for Coca-Cola in an investigation by the Competition Commission of Singapore ("CCS"). The CCS eventually closed its investigation into the Company with no admission as to liability or penalties imposed, save that certain mutually agreed undertakings were imposed by the CCS.
Led by partner practice Head, Kala Anandarajah, the Team involved in the matter included associates Marcus Teo, Kimberly Tan and Loh Huilin and was further assisted by partner (foreign lawyer) Dominique Lombardi.
The GCR Awards aim to recognise the achievements of teams and individuals from private practice firms, corporate legal departments, economic consultancies, academic organisations and competition authorities that have shaped the antitrust scene over the past year. Back to Top Print
